Restoran Al-Arafah, Seri Kembangan

I checked out Restoran Al-Arafah about a month ago. I ordered mushroom soup (of course), mandi lamb and Arabic tea. Apparently, Arabic tea is Lipton tea plus mint and some spices. Hmmmm….

The mushroom soup tasted like instant soup. No big deal. You’re not missing anything big if you don’t order this. The tea was very bitter. Even after I added sugar, it was still bitter. The mandi lamb was quite good, but I think the one at Balqis Restaurant is better. The bill for my meal was RM26.

My verdict:

Patty and Pie

I went to Patty & Pie for lunch on 18 Nov, 2015. I ordered a Hey Pesto beef burger and lemon tea. The burger was definitely better than the burgers at fast food restaurants, but not the best I’ve tasted. If you’re craving for a good burger, I recommend you go to Fuel Shack instead.

Patty & Pie also serves pizzas, which I haven’t tried. The bill for my lunch was RM29.

Teh Tarik Place, Putrajaya

I went to Teh Tarik Place at Ayer@8, Putrajaya for breakfast on Deepavali morning. The mutton murtabak was a bit salty. The french toast was okay. The teh tarik was lukewarm. Service was a bit slow. I don’t know if it was because there were many customers that morning or because it’s just slow.

If you’re not in a hurry, this place is worth checking out. It has a nice view of the lake and the Steel Mosque. I plan to go again to try the lunch menu.

Tarbush, Bangsar Shopping Center

I went to Tarbush for lunch with friends. The restaurant decor was cosy.

The appetizer — six peices of falafel (sorry, forgot to snap photo of this) — was reasonably good. The portion of the main dishes — maklouba lamb and Tarbush mixed grill — were big enough for three people to share. The lamb was soft and tender. The mixed gill consists of shish tawook, shish kebab, lamb cubes and grilled prawns. All are finger-licking delicious.
