US’s Role in the Founding of Israel

People who are aware of the root of the Palestine-Israel conflict know about the role that UK played in the Balfour Declaration. However, I was, until recently, quite ignorant of the role USA played in the formation of Israel until I read “The Iron Curtain over America” by John Beaty.

I’m going to shamelessly plagiarise various sections of this book regarding this matter (re-writing them is going to be time consuming and I don’t have the time right now). If you’re unfamiliar with the history of Khazar and Judaism, please refer to “The Thirteenth Tribe”.

pp. 30 – 31
As a number of writers have pointed out, political Zionism entered its violent phase after the discovery of the incredibly vast mineral wealth of Palestine. According to “Zionist Misleading World with Untruths for Palestine Conquest,” a full page article inserted as an advertisement in the New York Herald-Tribune (January 14, 1947), “an independent Jewish state in Palestine was the only certain method by which Zionists could acquire complete control and outright ownership of the proven Five Trillion Dollar ($5,000,000,000,000) chemical and mineral wealth of the Dead Sea.” The long documented article is signed by R.M. Schoendorf, “Representative of Cooperating Americans of the Christian Faiths”, by Habib I. Katibah, “Representative of cooperating Americans of Arab Ancestry”; and by Benjamin H. Freedman, “Representative of Cooperating Americans of the Jewish Faith,” and is convincing. Irrespective, however, of the value of the Dead Sea minerals, the oil flow of Middle Eastern wells is something unbelievable to those familiar with slow-flowing American wells. Also in 1951, oil was “discovered” in the Negeb Desert, an area for the “Israeli” authorities has so much fervor that they seized it (See Chapter VI, b, below).

Whose Land? Whose Promise?

Burge explores the issue of the promised land to Israel and Christian support for Israel. What was God’s promise to Abraham? Was the promise unconditional? Are Christians expected to support Israel because those who bless Israel will be blessed?

Since the birth of Israel — a moment celebrated by millions of Christians — innumerous people have suffered. Since 1948, over 400 Arab villages have been either destroyed by bulldozers or occupied by Israeli residents despite UN resolutions calling for the rightful return of these homes and lands to their Arab owners. According to UN records in June 1999, about 3.6 million Palestinian refugees are the victims of Israel’s nationhood. Palestinian refugee community is the largest in the world.

In order to understand the issue of ‘the promised land’ in the correct context, it is imperative that we understand the events that lead to the formation of Israel.

The plot to steal Palestinian land started long before the Holocaust of World War 2. In 1895, Theodor Herzl wrote in his diary that the removal of Arabs from Palestine is part of the Zionist plan. Joseph Weitz stated that there is no room for Arabs and Jews in the country. He wanted Israel without Arabs. Ben-Gurion wanted to prevent Arabs who fled from returning. To guarantee that, villages were destroyed and wells were poisoned with typhus and dysentery bacteria. When an entire town became sick, Jewish forces occupied the town and looted Arab homes.

In 1948, Israeli planes dropped leaflets in Palestinian villages warning people to get out or be killed. After they left, Israeli settlers simply moved into Palestinian homes. In some villages, the Israeli forces carried out mass arrest of all males aged 14 to 60. They were taken to detention camps where they were tortured by Shin Bet (the secret police).

Israel was built by conquest and confiscation of other people’s land, which resulted in millions of refugees. Israel confiscates land that are of strategic value — for water, agriculture and military advantage. This is the game played for centuries by who ever that wants to control the land.

Gaza Under Attack 2014

For those of you who believe that Hamas is a terrorist organisation and that Hamas is Israel’s problem, consider this. Hamas was only formed in 1987, but the occupation of Palestine started in 1948. This means 39 years of massacres, imprisonment and displacement. 39 years of pretexts to kill more Palestinians. If Hamas were destroyed, Israel will find another pretext to kill.

Israel’s problem is not Hamas, it is the entire Palestinian population. Don’t let yourself be deceived. Resistance is only there because of the occupation and will remain as long as the occupation continues. Israel attack on Gaza is not self defense, it is genocide. Palestine has a right to defend itself.

The Gaza Bombardment – What You’re Not Being Told

Israel doesn’t want peace. It wants land. This is what the bombardment of Gaza is about — another land grab. Another Nakba — another cruel land grab by murder and expulsion of non-Jews.

44% of Gaza has been taken by the Israelis. They call it a ‘buffer zone’, and they have expelled the people from that region into the remainder of Gaza. The population of the most densely populated place on earth has been crammed into an even smaller space.
